Matthew Hogan

C2C Specialist, eBay Grad Rotational Program Alum 2025
Bachelor of Commerce - BCom, Marketing

I was surprised by how well eBay combines the scale of a global, multi-billion-dollar eCommerce business with the agility and close-knit feel of the AU team. For me, this was a perfect intersection where there is so much scope (especially in eCommerce) to identify opportunities and are empowered to follow through, which I definitely wouldn't have expected as a grad.
The team rotations also stood out; the huge variety and exposure of work fast-tracks your commercial acumen and provides a breadth of understanding well beyond your years.

Category Associate (Collectables), eBay Grad Rotational Program Alum 2025
Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Advanced Studies, Finance and Marketing

What surprised me most was the level of cross-functional exposure. Even as a grad, you’re constantly collaborating with different teams, which means you quickly gain a much broader view of the business and how projects come together end-to-end.

The eBay AU culture is also truly unique - it’s a place where you genuinely look forward to coming in because of the people and the events throughout the year. A highlight for me was attending a runway at Australian Fashion Week!

Mackenzie Geeves

Campaign Manager, eBay Grad Rotational Program Alum 2021
Bachelor of Fine Arts (Interactive & Visual Design) / Bachelor of Business (Marketing), Marketing

The most valuable part of the eBay Grad Program has definitely been the level of ownership I was given from the start. I was trusted to work on meaningful projects like our Museum of Sneakers, rather than just observing from the sidelines. That hands-on experience really accelerated my learning and built my confidence quickly. It also gave me great exposure to cross-functional teams across the business and helped me understand how decisions are at scale.

Jagen Yoon

Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts (Art History)

What has been the most valuable experience so far?

“The most valuable lesson I have learnt so far is the value of people. A big part of what makes eBay successful is the community that we build with our team, our buyers, and sellers. A meaningful career is one filled with meaningful connections, and I believe I am achieving that here at eBay.”

Amy Aroney, Brand Coordinator, 2022 Graduate Cohort, eBay Australia

Brand Coordinator,
Bachelor of Business Management

What did you find surprising when joining the graduate program?

“Having joined the eBay Grad Program in 2022, I was pleasantly surprised at the overwhelming support I received from each team I joined — where my managers created a safe space to bring my fresh, new insights and ideas, own projects end-to-end and enable the autonomy I needed to experiment, fail and try again. With the openness and commitment from my managers, I was able to overcome any self doubt or feelings of imposter syndrome.”
