Jade Robinson

Analyst
Bachelor of Property Economics, UTS

Tell us about your role at JLL and what it involves.

As an Analyst in the NSW Logistics & Industrial team, I support the wider Industrial Sales & Leasing team across a range of transactions through market research, analysis and client support. I also assist in preparing proposals for institutional clients and new business opportunities.

How has the graduate program supported you in launching your career?

The Graduate Program gave me the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business at a high level, which fast-tracked my learning and development. The rotational structure allowed me to work across different business lines, an opportunity you don't typically get in a graduate's first role after university. It gave me a broad understanding of the industry, helped me build relationships across the business, and ultimately enabled me to identify the area I was most passionate about.

What work have you been most excited by since starting at JLL?

Since starting at JLL, I’ve been most excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment across a broad range of world-class assets. I’ve really enjoyed the variety of transactions and the exposure to different asset types, markets, and stakeholders, which has made the work both dynamic and rewarding.

What tips can you share to prospective graduates going through the application or recruitment process with us?

Focus on yourself and what you can bring to the table. Don’t worry about trying to give the “perfect” answer, instead highlight the value of your experiences, even if they come from a broad range of backgrounds or industries. JLL values people who can bring fresh perspectives and a willingness to learn, so be confident in what makes you different and how you can contribute to the team.

Why should someone be excited about joining JLL?

JLL delivers results in property, but ultimately it’s a people business. Once you’re part of the team, people are genuinely behind you and invested in your success. That support, combined with the opportunity to work across large-scale assets and networks, it makes it an exciting place to build your career.

I was a 2024-2025 Graduate and transitioned to a Project Coordinator role after the program was completed. I now specialise in commercial office projects, including the delivery of complex fitouts and upgrades for high profile clients. How has the graduate program supported you in launching your career?

The JLL Graduate Program gave me comprehensive exposure across multiple sectors, helping me develop into a versatile, results-driven professional. Each rotation enhanced my ability to deliver across diverse commercial real estate disciplines. Most importantly, the program helped me discover which role truly suited my work style.

What work have you been most excited by since starting at JLL?

The most rewarding aspect of my experience has been the opportunity to engage in on-site learning beyond the traditional office environment. Whether it's accompanying colleagues on site visits or conducting inspections, these hands-on learning experiences bring the work to life. Every rotation provided these opportunities to see things firsthand and develop practical knowledge beyond the desk.

What tips can you share to prospective graduates going through the application or recruitment process with us?

Be yourself and stay open to learning new things. The recruitment process is as much about finding the right fit for you as it is about JLL finding the right candidate.

Georgia Davis

Graduate
Bachelor of Property RMIT

Tell us about your role at JLL and what it involves.

  • 2022/2023 Graduate-  currently working with the office leasing team, heading to Industrial shortly
  • Being a grad is about learning and absorbing as much as you can, to both help you in your future position, and to assist you in figuring out where your interests lie.
  • It is also very important to meet as many people as possible
  • In my office leasing rotation my role involves:
    • Attending inspections
    • Assisting in analyst work- uploading data, providing information, replying to tenant rep inquiries
    • Attending leasing meetings
    • Attending fitout planning and construction meetings
    • Learning the process of leasing an office space from first contact to a signed lease- each case is different so I have tried to be as involved in each tenant that the team has managed since I joined as possible to learn all the different intricacies

How has the graduate program supported you in launching your career?

After finishing my degree (Property and Valuation at RMIT) I wasn’t sure which direction I was interested in pursuing, or even what all of my options were. By being in the grad program I have been able to sample 3 different sectors of property to help me determine which one I both enjoyed, and felt I could succeed in. Additionally, you gain the opportunity to learn about business lines that you do not complete a rotation in, and meet different people that work across the entire business.

What work have you been most excited by since starting at JLL?

I am really enjoying working with the office leasing team at the moment, and a big reason for that is because the role is extremely dynamic. You do several different things each day, and you never know exactly where your day will end when you arrive that morning. The most exciting thing to me is that each day holds a different challenge

What tips can you share to prospective graduates going through the application or recruitment process with us?

  • Be honest about your interests- its okay to say if you’re not sure yet, that’s the point of the grad program!
  • Make sure to speak to as many people as you can at the networking night, it’s a great way for the JLL team and yourself to figure out if you’re the right fit for the company

Why should someone be excited about joining JLL?

  • There are so many opportunities at JLL- being in a large company really allows you to grow into your career within the company
  • There is a really nice environment within the office- it’s a very social company and everyone is willing to have a chat or offer some advice
  • You get the opportunity to speak with several different sectors and draw knowledge from the experts in their fields that you can apply to your own work
