How does Cisco support your career growth as an early-in-career professional?
I was selected to be in the best graduate program in the industry, Cisco Sales Associates Program, where I was put into a year-long training program to learn all about being a sales engineer. The amount of resources that was provided to me was incredible, and I was able to acquire 4 certifications, gain deep understanding of the tech behind the entire Cisco portfolio, as well as practice my soft skills that are required for a customer centric role. Few other workplaces will invest this much into a graduate like me like Cisco does.
Why do you love working at Cisco?
The people here are absolutely the best part of Cisco. The future of work is hybrid, and that means I can choose which days I want to work from home, which days I want to work in the office. I can go into the office and talk to all my colleagues, knowing that we are there because we want to be. I even made friends with colleagues from another country who showed me around their city when I visited on holiday, that is how strong the people culture Cisco has around the world, and that is why I love working at Cisco.

How does Cisco support your career growth as an early-in-career professional?
From the moment I joined Cisco as a Systems Engineering Intern in 2022, I have been surrounded by amazing mentors and colleagues who have provided me with invaluable training, guidance, and support as an early-in-career professional.
My internship at Cisco enabled me to gain hands on experience and Cisco certification with the latest technologies in the field, while completing my university studies. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most talented professionals in the industry, inspiring me to take on new challenges and launch my career as a Network Consulting Engineer at Cisco.
Cisco’s Graduate Program was also instrumental in helping me to expand my network and grow as a more well-rounded professional, pushing me out of my comfort zone and giving me the confidence to pursue CCIE expert level certification. As an early-in-career professional, Cisco has expedited my career advancement with many opportunities, one of the most memorable moments being the chance to work in the World of Solutions at Cisco Live Melbourne 2022.
Why do you love working at Cisco?
I love working at Cisco because of the amazing people and technology I get to work with every day. The culture is one of collaboration, inclusion, and innovation, which makes it a great place to work – especially as a female engineer.
The most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing the enterprise and service provider networks I help build, design, and automate come to life, both nationally and worldwide.

Why do you love working at Cisco?
Working at Cisco provides an engaging and fulfilling work environment with space to invest in ourselves as well as the community around us. From my first day at Cisco, I’ve experienced a welcoming and supportive working culture which has consistently boosted my professional growth. The flexibility of hybrid work options has helped me maintain a healthy work/life balance, and the friendly, collaborative attitude of my teammates keeps me connected and learning, whether I’m in the office or working from home. I also see my values reflected in Cisco’s emphasis on diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability, both through internal initiatives, as well as being encouraged to volunteer externally with an organisation that’s meaningful to me, with ten paid days annually to give back to the community.
How does Cisco support your career growth as an early-in-career professional?
There are several ways that Cisco supports me to be constantly growing as a professional in tech. In my first year, I had the opportunity to connect with a number of different teams based all around the world and to get involved in a variety of projects or stretch assignments, exploring new technologies and diverse areas of the business. Even as an early-in-career employee, I was encouraged to take ownership of my work, think outside the box, and share my own ideas with the team. In addition to these hands-on experiences, Cisco provided professional development in the form of courses and training workshops to support ongoing learning. From day one, I’ve felt supported to be ambitious and approach my work with a sense of innovation and creativity.
