Drashti Shah

2025 Technology Graduate
Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) / Information Systems

Hear from Drashti:

Being a Technology Graduate at AMP has been an incredibly rewarding experience, thanks to the amazing support from my team, managers, the Graduate Community, and the broader AMP network. Since day one I’ve had countless opportunities to grow, from challenging myself by taking leadership on new projects to actively participating in regular networking and development sessions, I’m always encouraged to learn something new. Lastly, let’s not forget the stunning views from our QQT office - they definitely add a little extra sparkle to the workday!

In my first rotation at AMP, I’ve joined the Cyber Detection and Response team within our Cyber Defence Centre. Cybersecurity was one of the areas I was most excited to explore from day one, so getting to dive into my passion has taught me so much. Over the past few months, I’ve sharpened my skills in threat intelligence, alert monitoring, simulated incident response, and more. It’s been a hands-on, high-impact experience that’s exceeded my expectations.

One of our greatest strengths at AMP is our vibrant community and supportive culture. So, my top tip for prospective graduates is to be your authentic self when applying. Beyond your qualifications, AMP truly values genuine passion and alignment with our five core values. The Graduate community is especially welcoming and fun-loving, so bring your whole self and we can’t wait to meet you!

Alex Raatz

2025 Accounting & Finance Graduate
Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Professional Accounting and Finance

Hear from Alex:

“My name is Alex Raatz, and I am part of the 2025 Accounting & Finance Graduate cohort here at AMP.

I remember being in your shoes: approaching the end of my university degree and wondering, 'what next?'. Eager to launch my career in accounting and finance, I was drawn to AMP for its forward-thinking approach, commitment to nurturing young talent, and vision of making a positive impact by helping people invest in their future.

The AMP graduate program has been amazing from day one. What surprised me most is how valued graduates are within the company, receiving endless support, encouragement, and opportunities for development and exposure. Within the first few months of starting, we have engaged in numerous development workshops, bonding activities, networking sessions and had the privilege of hearing experiences and insights directly from senior leaders across the company, including our CEO!

The program has been instrumental in shaping my career, offering unwavering support as I pursue my Chartered Accountants course. Beyond the technical, the program has fostered collaboration and helped me build meaningful connections with colleagues across the company, setting the stage for a well-rounded professional future.

To future grads considering applying, my advice would be to embrace every opportunity to learn and grow, and be open to new experiences that come your way - you never know where they might lead!”

Harrison Falconer

2024 Technology Graduate Alumni
Bachelor of Mathematics & Computer Science

Current Role: Mobile Developer

Hear from Harrison:

“I joined the grad program in February 2024 after an incredibly positive experience at the assessment centre. The energy, support, and authenticity of the people I met made it clear this was a place where I could grow. I was looking for a culture where I could feel safe asking questions and being vulnerable in the learning process - and that’s exactly what I found.

One standout moment was during my rotation with the Cloud team. I admitted I’d been putting off a task that felt daunting, and instead of judgment, the manager was supportive and encouraged that kind of honesty. He even helped me build a plan to tackle it - which really stuck with me. It showed me that the culture here isn’t just talk - it’s lived out every day.

I’m now in the Bank Mobile Engineering team, surrounded by talented, kind engineers who are always willing to help. Each rotation gave me hands-on experience and built the confidence I needed to kick off my software engineering career. I draw on lessons from every rotation, every day.

If you’re applying, take the time to really engage with people at your assessment centre - staff and candidates alike. It’s a great way to show how you’ll thrive in a collaborative, people-first culture."

Daniel Comito

2024 Financial Services Graduate Alumni
Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) & Bachelor of Aviation (Management)

Current Role: Product Analyst

Hear from Daniel:

"Hi there! I’m Daniel, and I’m currently a Product Analyst in Managed Portfolios working with North (AMP’s wrap investment platform). I joined AMP as a Financial Services graduate back in February of 2024.

What initially drew me to the program was its strong reputation for hands-on learning and the opportunity to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry. I was excited by the chance to gain exposure across multiple areas of financial services, and I hoped to find a place where I could grow both personally and professionally. Ultimately, I was looking for a pathway to discover what I’m truly passionate about in finance - and this program offered exactly that.

Each area of the business I had the opportunity to explore offered a defining moment: celebrating $15 billion in funds under management with the Managed Portfolios team, contributing to the launch of AMP’s new digital bank alongside the Small Business and Personal Banking team, and navigating market volatility driven by the US tariffs with our investments team. These experiences brought unique challenges and valuable lessons that have played a pivotal role in shaping my career journey so far.

My advice to future grads? Don’t hesitate! Dive in with an open mind and a willingness to learn. Embrace every opportunity and remember to have fun along the way. Authenticity is key, so be yourself and show them what you’ve got!"

Joshua Stovold

2023 Accounting & Finance Graduate Alumni
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)

Current Role: Strategy & Investor Relations Analyst

Hear from Joshua:

"Joining the AMP Graduate Program was an easy decision for me, largely due to its rotational structure. The chance to explore different areas of the business while developing a diverse skill set is incredibly valuable for anyone stepping into the corporate world straight from university. What stood out to me early on was the consistent and constructive support, not just from the graduate program team, but from the broader AMP community.

Throughout my time in the program, I’ve had the opportunity to engage with senior leadership, participate in team-building activities with both my graduate cohort and rotation teams, and contribute to meaningful community initiatives through the AMP Foundation. Each of these experiences has played a pivotal role in shaping my early career and helping me grow both professionally and personally.

What makes AMP truly stand out is the culture. As a graduate, you’re not just starting a job, you’re becoming part of a supportive, purpose-driven organisation that genuinely invests in your development. You feel connected to something bigger, and that sense of belonging makes all the difference."

Edmond Lung

Hear from Edmond:

"When I graduated from university, I wasn’t sure which area of technology I wanted to pursue. That’s why I joined the AMP Technology Graduate Program in 2023. The program gave me the freedom to explore different roles, build real-world technical skills, and find my passion. One highlight was working on the Business Improvement Project for three months, where I tackled real business challenges. During this time, I developed skills in presenting to AMP’s senior leaders, managing projects and stakeholders, product design, and strategic thinking. Thanks to the program’s diverse rotations and hands-on experiences, I discovered my interest in artificial intelligence and became an AI Engineer in AMP’s AI Hub. Now, I get to solve real business problems by building innovative AI solutions. If you’re finishing university and wondering where your career might lead, AMP’s Graduate Program is a fantastic way to experience a range of disciplines in the financial services sector. Take the leap, apply today and see where your journey can take you.”
