About the ATO

The ATO manages Australia’s tax and super systems to help build a better Australia by funding services and infrastructure such as schools and hospitals. Our graduates are empowered to think big, turn ideas into action and work together to deliver results that matter, like:

What you’ll do   

Make your mark in marketing.

From social media to public relations, marketing and communication, you’ll innovate, create, develop and implement content that connects with different audiences. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to produce communications that simplify tax processes for the community, using modern technology and channels to deliver creative messaging.

With a qualification in marketing, communications, market research or public relations, the Marketing & Communication stream is the perfect opportunity to channel your creativity in meaningful work. You could:

  • design, develop and implement effective communication strategies, products and activities
  • create innovative, tailored communications for internal and external audiences
  • use a range of multimedia formats and content types to simplify complex messages for the community
  • consult and maintain relationships with business partners to support business objectives
  • evaluate communication strategies to optimise communication effectiveness.

Graduates who have completed their university degree in the last 5 years (1 January 2022 to 31 December 2026) can apply.
