Responsibilities

1st year: 

• Understanding of the team, the applications and the Asian exchanges
• Learning all the SG internal CD/CI tools
• Automate testing of applications that are related to position managements

2nd year: 

• Understanding of our applications in Azure    
• Automate the CD/CI in Azure
• Continue to automate application tests
• You will be responsible for automating workflow for Continuous Integration and Deployment of our software and its monitoring.
• You will oversee designing, developing, and releasing projects linked to automation of the ecosystem.
• You will work with other team members on both methodology and technical skills (including supportability, resiliency, and scalability of the solution).
• You will be researching about new technologies to share their benefits and explore them (including data analytics, monitoring, cloud).
• You will be managing small projects and be able to build up knowledge on Asian markets.
• Candidates with outstanding performance will be considered for early conversion to permanent roles.

Department Description

Global Banking & Investors Solutions is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Société Générale Group. Present in over 50 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia, GBIS provides services in corporate and investment banking, asset management, private banking and securities around the world. GBIS offers to its clients integrated and tailored solutions to respond to their specific needs.

Member of "Market Technology" department, the "Front Office development" team aims to design, implement, maintain, and support electronic trading software solutions for multiple trading desks.

We are pursuing our initiative to detect opportunities for automation in several core processes. To support this initiative the candidate will be embedded within the team in charge of deploying, maintaining, and supporting an application used by Front Office for trading on Asian financial markets.

We are looking for DevOps members who are curious to understand and challenge processes, propose creative solutions, and develop them.

Prior experience in banking is not mandatory. This is a great opportunity for software engineers who are passionate about technologies.

The Trainee role is a full time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.

Profile required

• Relevant Bachelor’s or Graduate’s degree holder is preferred
• Graduates with some working experience gained from other sectors are also welcomed
• Good technical skills in modern coding languages, such as Python
• Knowledge on software testing and test automation using Python libraries like PyTest
• Knowledge on cloud technologies will be an advantage
• Knowledge on Java, C++ will be a plus
• Keen to learn
• Good communication skills and strong team spirit
• English language skills are essential
