Muscular Dystrophy Queensland's specialist, multi-disciplinary allied health team provides NDIS and charitable services. You'll work with children and adults living with neuromuscular conditions and develop lasting relationships as part of the “care team” your clients rely upon to maintain their independence and live the lives they choose.
We're interested in supporting you to progress your skills as an allied health professional and offer mentoring, skills building workshops and other professional development opportunities. We value all of our staff who contribute to our friendly and supportive workplace.
Ideally this position is a full-time, permanent role. However, applications from physiotherapists who want to work part -time (3 days per week minimum) are welcome.
You'll enjoy a varied role, with no two days the same at MDQ. You're able to structure your day with a mix of centre-based appointments and visits to client's homes and community facilities, as well as quiet space for report writing. Our service is focused on the South East Corner and can involve some outreach travel within Queensland, if that interests you. You will be working within an allied health team (physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social worker) and alongside support coordinators, charitable programs coordinators and plan management staff. Our admin team provide the support you need to stay engaged in your work with clients.
