Applications will open on Monday 6 July 2026. Register your interest here and we'll send you a reminder when applications open.

As a Seasonal Clerk at Lander & Rogers, you will:

  • Participate in a four-week placement in one of our practice groups, aligned to your preferences
  • Receive hands-on support from dedicated mentors and buddies
  • Have the opportunity build your legal and business networks
  • Gain diverse experience working alongside clients and experienced lawyers
  • Immerse yourself in a culture that fosters inclusion and diversity

Our Melbourne Clerkship Program has three annual intakes: November/December 2026, January/February 2027 or June/July 2027. Following your clerkship, you will have the opportunity to apply for our 2028 Graduate Program.

Your experience

Our seasonal clerk programs are your opportunity to sample life in the law and at Lander & Rogers, to see whether we’re right for you. The program will build on your university education through structured training, dedicated mentoring and, most importantly, doing real work for real clients.

We’re looking for people with the ability to tackle complex legal scenarios, energy to absorb new concepts and enthusiasm to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Our culture

Learn in an environment where new ideas are welcomed and knowledge is openly exchanged. You'll be supported to reach new heights as you solve interesting legal problems alongside real clients.

Every individual who joins our growing firm is an essential contributor to our shared success. That's why we don't simply seek the brightest legal minds, but those who share our values of authenticity, connection, collaboration and innovation.

Accelerate your success alongside a team that is invested in your growth, while developing your legal skills and business acumen.

Who can apply?

Our 2026/27 Melbourne Clerkship Program is open to students studying who are in their penultimate or final year of a law degree.

Students must have full working rights through Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
