This internship provides hands-on exposure to Internal Communications and Employee Engagement within a regional HR function of a global maritime organisation.
The intern will support the planning and execution of communication strategies that strengthen company culture, enhance employee engagement, and promote key HR initiatives across the Asia region. The role combines content development, campaign coordination, and project support.
The intern will gain insight into how communications support organisational culture, change management, and employee experience in a multinational environment.

Function and Duties
1. Internal Communications
- Draft and edit internal announcements, newsletters and intranet articles
- Support the development of communication materials for HR initiatives and regional projects
- Assist in preparing presentation decks, talking points and briefing materials for employee communications
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging and corporate branding
2. Culture & Engagement Initiatives
- Support planning and execution of employee engagement activities and regional events
- Assist in developing communication campaigns to increase participation in HR programmes
- Coordinate communication timelines and materials for internal initiatives
3. Content & Visual Development
- Create simple visual materials (posters, email banners, internal branding collaterals)
- Support storytelling initiatives highlighting employee achievements and company culture
- Assist in managing content on internal communication platforms
4. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track engagement metrics such as participation rates and feedback
- Support post-event or campaign reviews
- Propose ideas to enhance communication effectiveness and employee engagement
Requirement:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Interest in corporate communications, HR or organisational culture
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g. Canva) is an advantage
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
- Able to handle confidential information professionally
- Proactive, responsible and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
