Function and Duties
- Cost Control
- Perform equipment situation and inventory development analysis given updated forecast and with cost consideration
- Ensure spent on ancillary items such as storage, inefficient moves are monitored and minimized
- Monitor and further reduce planned S&D cost to be within budget guidelines
- Equipment Management
- Ensure forecast accuracy and stockfeeding plan is made available 2-3 weeks ahead
- Improve stockfeeding plan (2-3 wks ahead) for 70% of the outports and empty planning share within subregions by
- Initiate interventions and follow up (stockfeed, deadhead instructions/guidance)
- Project Management
- Support global projects implementation, establish processes and implementation
Requirements
- Experience in container operations/logistics is a big plus
- Self-motivated, result-oriented individual with a willingness to learn and adapt
- Eager to learn and experience different cultures
- Responsible, self-driven and reliable personality
- Analytical, data driven, structured and efficient working style
- Communicative team player. Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and additional data tools
- Business level Mandarin language (in both written and spoken) is an advantage to liaise with counterparts in China
