Our Cadetship Program offers a unique opportunity to accelerate your personal and professional growth by combining paid work with tertiary study — a two-for-one advantage that puts you well ahead of your peers.

Cadetships offer a blend of part-time study and part-time work. You’ll attend university classes one day per week while gaining valuable experience onsite at BlueScope. If you’re entering directly from Year 12, you’ll work casually for your first year and study full-time at university. This flexible approach allows you to build knowledge while gaining insight into how your studies apply in a real-world setting.

• Are you a Year 12 student who’s ready to turn your curiosity into a career, and have the subjects lined up to study an engineering degree at the University of Wollongong (UOW)? 
• Or maybe you're already at university (in your 1st or 2nd year), currently studying or open to transferring into an engineering program at UOW? 
• Do you want to be part of a team where you’ll do real, hands-on work that matters, helping shape not only how we work and what we create, but also the world we live in?
