What You Will Do 

• Model Development: Assist in designing, implementing, and testing mathematical models for optimization problems (e.g., linear programming, integer programming, mixed-integer programming, network flow models) 
• Collaborate on creating scalable optimization models for applications like planning, routing, scheduling, inventory management, and capacity utilization. 
• Create heuristic models in addition to mathematical models as per the problem requirements. 
• Data Analysis: Derive insights from data. Validate model inputs and outputs 
• Clean, pre-process and integrate datasets for use in optimization models. 
• Testing & Documentation thoroughly testing your work before deploying and Documenting. 

Required Skills and Abilities 

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematical Modeling or related fields. 
• Experience with optimization modeling and solvers (CPLEX, Gurobi, COIN-OR, etc.) 
• Experience with python. 
• Proactive self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership of their work and meeting deadlines.
• Willingness to join full-time on successful completion of internship.
